Giveaway: French or Spanish Class at La Escuelita de Sofia

When Julissa Martinez, owner of Escuelita de Sofia started her Spanish Immersion class for children- she was surprised by how many children of bilingual parents became her students. While many families do great at preserving and passing other other aspects of their culture down to their little ones, some struggle with language. We all know what an advantage being multilingual is, and Julissa has been making it happen for Bronx families for several years now.

You might remember our review we posted back in 2012 of Escuelita de Sofia, and we’re happy to see the program has expanded. To celebrate, we are giving away 5 free classes to either the French or Spanish Immersion class (ages 3-7)!!!

To Enter: Leave a comment letting us know why it’s important to you to have your children learn another language. A random winner will be selected. Note: The Spanish Classes are given on Fridays at 4:30pm and Saturdays at 11:00am. The French Classes are ONLY given on Saturdays at 11:00am

Escuelita de Sofia will also be offering a summer program. Visit for more information.

  1. It’s important for my child to learn another language because it would open so many doors for him. He is Puerto Rican and black and I would love for hm to be able to communicate with the Spanish speaking side of our family. He tries to say a few words here and there as my mother speaks Spanish to him at times. My son shows a lot of enthusiasm for learning the language and if I win this giveaway it would set him on his way to becoming bilingual.
