When Julissa Martinez, owner of Escuelita de Sofia started her Spanish Immersion class for children- she was surprised by how many children of bilingual parents became her students. While many families do great at preserving and passing other other aspects of their culture down to their little ones, some struggle with language. We all know what an advantage being multilingual is, and Julissa has been making it happen for Bronx families for several years now.
You might remember our review we posted back in 2012 of Escuelita de Sofia, and we’re happy to see the program has expanded. To celebrate, we are giving away 5 free classes to either the French or Spanish Immersion class (ages 3-7)!!!

It’s important for my child to learn another language because it would open so many doors for him. He is Puerto Rican and black and I would love for hm to be able to communicate with the Spanish speaking side of our family. He tries to say a few words here and there as my mother speaks Spanish to him at times. My son shows a lot of enthusiasm for learning the language and if I win this giveaway it would set him on his way to becoming bilingual.

I would love for my son to learn a second language and knowing a second language will open more doors for him in the future. Unfortunately, I am not fluent in Spanish and I try teach my son the little that I know but an opportunity like this is priceless for our family. Thank you for the giveaway.

I would LOVE my daughter to take classes because she is both French and Spanish. Being multi lingual can create so many opportunities for her! I would really love the chance to broaden my baby girls horizons, and this would be a great start to that! Thanks for the giveaway!

Not only will it be beneficial for my childrens future to learn a second language and also a third language, but also have a sense of pride in understanding and speaking a second language. It’s important for my children to learn spanish so that our culture of language can countinue to be passed from generation to generation. As I get older and our elders pass on I start to see that it is more important now more than ever for our children to have someway in learning spanish and keeping it alive. As well as learning French to have a continued success and have a love for different languages.
