A Slot in the Fall 2012 Children’s Gardening Program at NYBG

(Garden Crafters-ages 6-12)

One lucky BronxMama reader will win a slot for their child in the Children’s Gardening Program at the New York Botanical Garden. Hands-on gardening is the perfect way for kids to get outside and get their hands dirty. Guided by instructors, kids plant, tend, and harvest fresh produce; prepare and taste the fruits of their labor; and enjoy the beautiful natural setting of the Ruth Rea Howell Family Garden.

TO ENTER: Let us know what you think is important about letting your child get down and dirty and learning about planting and harvesting fresh produce. Winner will be picked randomly and notified via email.

  1. Our mother, the earth needs kids to know now how to treat her. Our Kids need to understand that if we are good to our earth, our earth can give us all that we need to live. Teaching them the basic gardening tools can stay with them forever and give them an appreciation that not a lot of kids nowadays have.
