50th street, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, 125th
street(Apollo Theater), next and last stop…. New York Botanical
The New York Botanical Garden is celebrating 20 years of exhibiting
the most popular holiday attractions in New York City. More than one
dozen large-scale model trains runs on nearly a quarter-mile of track
across Bridges and through Tunnels, all constructed from plant
materials such as leaves, twigs, bark, berries, seeds, pine cones,
nuts, and pods. Landmarks such as the Original Penn Station
(1910–1964) Yankee Stadium (1923), the Brooklyn Bridge, Rockefeller
Center, and Radio City Music Hall all become formed from plant parts.
Its nothing like you would ever see in your backyard, neighbors garden
or local park. An event the entire family can attend and remember.
Held in the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, a building which was named in
the honor of Ms. Haupt 1906-2005 (an Ardent Horticulturist, serious
collector and breeder of orchids). The 20th Annual Holiday Train Show
will display to the public beginning November 19-January 16, 2012.
