Exciting Events at Iridescent April ScienceFest!

Check out the newly opened Iridescent South Bronx Science Studio at their first monthly science festival!  Come mix and mingle, take part in an Engineering Design Challenge, check out the wind tunnel, digital music creation station, the solar scooter, learn about musical instrument engineering, make some wii art, learn about other program opportunities, and more!

Work with university and professional scientists and engineers to design and create experiments illustrating science, technology, and engineering principles over a 4 week course.  The course is free, and all elementary and middle school students and their families (brothers, sisters, cousins, mom, dad, aunt, uncle, etc.) are invited. Free dinner provided.

Friday evenings, 5:30pm-7:30pm, from May 6 until May 27, 2011

Our week-long, project-based science and engineering summer camps are fast approaching!  Cost is $300 per session, financial aid available.  Courses run for 5 days, 9am-3pm.

July 11-15, 2011: Musical Instrument Engineering – ages 8-12

July 18-22, 2011: Animals as Engineering Inspiration – ages 6-9

July 25-29, 2011: Underwater Robotics – ages 13+

August 1-5, 2011: Worms vs. Robots – ages 11-14
