In the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King, and an eye to traditional African American quilts, create a colorful fabric vision of your personal dream of freedom. Free, and admission to the grounds is free until noon.

Video images and audio presentation of two of Martin Luther King Jr. famous speeches will be on display in the lobby of St. Mary’s Recreation Center to honor and celebrate Rev. King’s life.

Martin Luther King Day & Inauguration Celebration
Monday, January 17, 2011, 12:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m.
Children at Owen Dolan Rec Center will listen to Martin Luther King, Jr.’s historic “I Have a Dream” speech. They will talk about history, the new president, and today’s society, and watch a documentary of Rev. King’s life.
