NYC is famous for its awesome spas and salons-but instead of giving your loved ones a gift of relaxation that they need to cross a bridge to receive, send them to a local Bronx spa, like Parkchester’s Canela Salon and Spa. Canela hosts everything from manicures to highlights to prenatal messages in a tranquil atmosphere and at reasonable prices. Starting December 14th the Canelassage, Deep Tissue Therapy and Melting Muscle Massage will be priced at $65 for 60 minutes.  (The sale ends December 24th.)  Canela also has several gifts under $20 that would make great stocking stuffers, in addition to lotions and scented candles marked 50% off.  Customized gift certificates may be purchased on line or in the salon.

*For pricing and more information visit or call (718) 684 – 3001. Canela Salon & Spa is on Facebook and Twitter.

While this company is located in New Jersey, one of the chefs is from the Bronx and can whip up your loved ones some yummy brownies or holiday cookies- or if the giftee is known for hosting parties, you can even give the gift of catering. You can see their full menu at or call (201) 855-9795. These wonderful confections are created by Bronxite Chef Ryan and can be shipped or delivered within three days from the date ordered. Yummy!
